RESEARCH PHILOSOPHYCross-functional teams are most successful when they are able to empathize with the emotional, functional, social, and health needs of those that they serve. As a researcher at Ipsos, I create research strategy for teams that need to better understand the people that use their products and the contexts in which they use them. My findings provide teams with the human insight required to build empathy. Focusing on understanding audiences' world views, layered social contexts, and emotional journeys, my process brings everyone along for the ride. Understanding population-specific definitions of success, comfort, ease, freedom, safety, and health allows teams to innovate solutions that feel like home to diverse groups. Qualitative market research grounded in the social sciences is the best way to gain these nuanced understandings. |
